BackingMinds invests in Saidot to unlock the value of enterprise AI agents
Saidot puts trust back into AI agents and raises new capital to grow its EU presence and expand into the US market.

STOCKHOLM / HELSINKI, 2026-11-05 – BackingMinds invests in Saidot, the Helsinki-based AI governance platform company, as it expands into the US market. Existing investors Crowberry Capital and Ventic also participate in the round.
Around half of enterprise AI agent projects are still stuck in pilot. The barrier is rarely the technology. It is trust. Agents get access faster than anyone takes responsibility for them. An agent is built from parts owned by different teams and vendors. No one sees the whole.
Nearly half of organizations have confirmed or suspected that an AI agent took an unexpected or unauthorized action, and only one in eight can consistently trace what an agent did.2 After every incident, boards, regulators, and journalists ask the same three questions: whose agent was it? What was it allowed to do? Can you trace it? A board can only give its agents as much room as it can answer for. So, boards hold back, and agents stay in pilot.
Every employee has a manager, a role, and a file. Most AI agents have none. Saidot gives every agent an owner, a mandate, and a record. That record is connected. It maps the models, tools and data each agent depends on, and who owns each part. Govern a component once, and every agent that uses it inherits the right policies, risks, and controls. Through Saidot's MCP servers, teams' own AI assistants can register agents and conduct risk assessments directly in the record. Agents do the groundwork, people make the decisions. This unlocks AI agent value for companies.
Customers include large enterprises and Fortune 500 companies across financial services, pharma, media, technology, and the public sector. Saidot is included as a Niche Player in the 2026 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for AI Governance Platforms.*
The new capital will strengthen Saidot's position in Europe, fund its US expansion and build the next step in its product, policy-as-code. Security tools enforce rules in the moment. Saidot decides which guardrails each agent needs and proves they work. With policy-as-code, controls set in Saidot become rules that runtime guardrails enforce, with evidence flowing back into the record.
“Every company wants its AI agents to do more. Few can say who answers for them. Saidot gives every agent an owner, a mandate, and a record. Compliance is the floor, control sets the ceiling. That is what lets enterprises trust their agents and unlock more value,” says Meeri Haataja, CEO of Saidot.
“Rogue agents have shaken confidence in AI. The next wave of value depends on trust, not just on better models. Every agent that goes live is another system to govern, so Saidot grows with its customers' AI. That is why we are backing Meeri and her team,” says Niclas Wijkström, Investment Director at BackingMinds.
