Tavion raises SEK 76 million and secures 1.7 GW battery project pipeline in Poland
Tavion, a Swedish energy company focused on operating, owning, and developing battery parks across Europe, has raised SEK 76 million in pre-seed funding and unlocked up to SEK 500 million in debt financing. Backed by investors including Course Corrected, BackingMinds, Carl Manneh, and CEO Emad Zand, the company has already secured a dedicated 1.7 GW project pipeline in Poland, with 300 MW ready to break ground.
Tavion launches at a time when Europe's energy system is undergoing rapid change, and when resilience and energy security matter more than ever. Imported fossil fuels are being replaced by renewable energy, while power generation and consumption are becoming increasingly decentralized. These shifts are driving rising demand for flexibility in the grid – something large-scale battery storage is uniquely positioned to deliver. Yet Europe's battery build-out still lags well behind the United States and China.
