BackingMinds co-founder Sara Wimmercranz was the guest on Mitt i bruset, the video and podcast series from Dagens industri. While co-founding Footway, she saw how venture capital kept missing promising companies outside the usual circles. She later met Susanne Najafi over a poker table. They shared the same frustration that most venture capital went to companies founded by men in central Stockholm, and in 2016 they started BackingMinds to turn that gap into an investment opportunity. Since then, BackingMinds has backed founders with immigrant backgrounds, companies started by older women and businesses based in the suburbs.
