The team
Snerpa Power was founded by Íris Baldursdóttir and Eyrún Linnet in January 2022, driven by a vision to pioneer intelligent energy services that unlock the full potential of the power intensive industries. Their aim is to enhance these industries´ competitiveness while simultaneously accelerating the energy transition. With a combined industry experience of over 40 years, they had observed how the absence of tools and solutions for industries was impeding progress and causing opportunities for market players to go unnoticed.
Their passionate commitment lies in the sustainable and intelligent utilization of energy resources. They firmly believe that through innovation, automation and digitalization of industrial load, substantial gains can be achieved for the benefit of both industries and the overall energy system.
Snerpa Power collaborates closely with power intensive users to tailor optimal solutions according to their unique load characteristics, while also accounting for the trends in the electricity market.
Leading Snerpa Power are its founders, Íris, who serves as the CEO, and Eyrún, the CTO. Together, they lead a dynamic and expanding team of software engineers and data scientists who all share the passion for transforming the energy industry through digital technologies and automation. Based in Reykjavík, Iceland, the team operates in the midst of a 100% renewable power system. Their location situates them amidst a cluster of thriving power intensive industries who have set ambitious goals for the sustainable utilization of renewable resources.
