The founders of BackingMinds portfolio company Combify, Alaa Alshawa and Rim Alexandra Halfya, received the Årets nybyggare award in the “Fresh Start” category in November 2022. King Carl XVI Gustaf presented the award at a ceremony in the Bernadotte Library at the Royal Palace in Stockholm. The award is given by the IFS foundation (Internationella Företagare i Sverige) in partnership with SEB. It honours entrepreneurs with a foreign background, who start more than one in five companies in Sweden. Combify runs a subscription-based cloud platform that gives the construction and real estate industry easy access to property data, helping them save time and make better decisions.
